LIU Jianhua was born in 1962 in Heilongjiang Province in China. In his opinion, Chinese oil painting of aestheticism remains a theme to express in any period of time. The Chinese Auspicious oil painting by Liu Jianhua is composed of two parts, namely Chinese Auspicious Beauties and Chinese Distinctive Beauties. Such oil paintings use Chinese auspicious symbols and personal visual language to illustrate an auspicious, wealthy and optimistic temperament of Chinese nation. The works also reflect artist’s optimistic attitude of life and his aesthetic perception. Liu’s paintings possess a strong characteristic of Chinese auspicious elements, reflecting a spiritual power of joyousness, happiness and harmony in modeling and composing which precede Chinese auspicious oil painting.
